I made you wait a little bit, I let you even come back from your holidays so to gain your full attention once again, and it’s no random choice choosing today to write what it’s very probably going to be the conclusion of this blog. Right a year ago , September 4th 2008, I woke up as a Berliner for the first time. I had a house to clean, a new life to organise, a language to improve and after making great efforts I was finally there, in a new beautiful city to get to know.

Making an assessment, these last 12 months have been full of events and if I look at myself in the mirror I see many things have changed, I took a significant step forward in my growing up process. Every small or big achievement has been a cause of joy, every small or less small failure has been a lesson.
And then travelling…it has definitely been great, there’s no single thing I regret.

Talking about what happened then , more less a month after coming back home and saying goodbye to my friend Alessio Beltrami and his family who relocated to Japan , I had the chance to get a seasonal job in the UK and flew to York where I had a very nice summer. We worked hard, but it was also fun and moreover I met many great people and new friends from all over the World, a payback that goes far beyond any wage.
Right now I’m back to what they call “real life”, in the same Italy I had left a year ago. My family and many friends around me make one half of my heart warm, while facing again the things I wanted to take distance from leaves the other half cold.

I feel lucky ‘cause I’m a determined person and now, fallen in love with the UK during the journey told in this blog as well as during my working summer, my first goal is finding a job in London and being able to move there. And the second goal, if the first turned out to be too complicated for some reasons, would anyway be moving somewhere else in the World. I love having new goals motivating me, I don’t set limits for what to do and I think I can do well in a good number of situations thanks to how much I got down to studying and working. Having said that, I’ll keep this blog on-line as long as possible and the adventure it was launched for will be indelible for me as well as for those who followed it.
